Terms of Service
Last updated: August 2026

1. Scope of Services
Sectionist provides flexible, hourly design and technical support services to clients, including architectural design support, drafting and documentation, 3D modeling, visualization, interior design support, and other related services as agreed between the parties.
The specific scope of work, deliverables, and requirements are agreed with the client before or during the provision of the services.
2. Hourly Rate
Our standard rate is:
$45 per hour
Services are billed based on the actual time spent on the agreed work.
There are no minimum hours and no long-term commitment unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Any different rate or pricing arrangement must be agreed in writing before the relevant work is performed.
3. Time Tracking
Time is recorded based on the actual work performed.
Time records may include a brief description of the work completed and the time spent on each task.
The client may request reasonable clarification regarding recorded working time.
4. Scope Changes and Revisions
Additional requests, revisions, changes, or work outside the initially agreed scope are billed at the applicable hourly rate.
Where a requested change is expected to materially increase the required working time, we may inform the client before proceeding with the additional work.
5. Client Responsibilities
The client is responsible for providing accurate and complete information, drawings, dimensions, references, specifications, and other materials reasonably required to perform the services.
The client is also responsible for ensuring that they have the necessary rights and permissions to provide any materials supplied to Sectionist.
Delays or additional work resulting from incomplete, inaccurate, or late information may result in additional billable hours.
6. Deliverables
Deliverables and file formats are agreed with the client based on the requirements of each engagement.
Unless otherwise agreed, Sectionist provides the agreed final deliverables after completion of the relevant work.
Working files, source files, editable files, or intermediate materials are only included where expressly agreed.
7. Payment and Invoicing
Invoices are issued based on the hours worked and any other charges expressly agreed with the client.
Unless otherwise stated on the invoice, payment is due within 14 days of the invoice date.
The client is responsible for any bank charges or payment fees associated with sending payment, unless otherwise agreed.
Where payment is overdue, Sectionist reserves the right to suspend further work until outstanding amounts have been paid.
8. Cancellation and Termination
Either party may end an engagement at any time unless otherwise agreed in writing.
The client remains responsible for payment for all services performed up to the effective date of termination.
Any completed or partially completed deliverables may be withheld until outstanding amounts have been paid, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
9. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, Sectionist retains ownership of its pre-existing materials, methods, templates, know-how, and other materials developed independently of a specific client project.
Upon full payment of the applicable invoices, the client receives the agreed rights to use the final deliverables for the project for which they were created.
Any broader transfer or grant of intellectual property rights must be expressly agreed in writing.
10. Confidentiality
Sectionist will treat confidential project information received from the client as confidential and will use such information only as reasonably necessary to provide the agreed services.
This obligation does not apply to information that is publicly available, was already lawfully known to Sectionist, is independently developed, or must be disclosed by law.
11. Portfolio and Publicity
Sectionist will not publicly display confidential client project information, drawings, images, or other project materials without the necessary permission or other legal basis.
Where the client grants permission, selected completed work may be displayed in the Sectionist portfolio or used for professional marketing purposes.
12. Professional and Regulatory Responsibility
Sectionist provides design and technical support based on the information and requirements provided by the client.
Unless expressly agreed otherwise, Sectionist does not guarantee approval by planning authorities, building departments, HOAs, contractors, consultants, or other third parties.
The client remains responsible for obtaining any required professional approvals, permits, certifications, or other regulatory approvals.
13. Liability
Sectionist is liable in accordance with applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is not permitted by applicable law, including liability for intentional misconduct, gross negligence, or legally mandated liability.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Sectionist shall not be responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from the client's use of the deliverables.
14. Governing Law
These Terms and the relationship between Sectionist and the client shall be governed by the laws applicable to the parties and the relevant engagement.
For business-to-business engagements, the parties may agree in writing on the applicable law and competent jurisdiction.
Mandatory statutory rights and protections remain unaffected.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to our services or business practices.
The version applicable to an engagement is the version agreed or incorporated into the engagement at the time the engagement is established.
